Random Thoughts:

Of course I have some thoughts.

2025-07-17-THU-02:22-CST – U.S. POSTAL SERVICE STAMPS PRICE INCREASE – It is happening again. The U.S. Postal Service has raised the price of Forever Stamps again from 73 cents to 78 cents. My thoughts about it are: This is why people have stopped mailing things so much in the first place, especially when we can just send an email rather than a letter. Also, the Post Office has no problem raising it’s prices in a hurry, but it can never get it’s delivery schedules to a reliable standard. I think USPS will eventually price themselves out of business and people are just going to start using UPS and FedEx exclusively. UPS and FedEx may cost more, but at least they usually deliver more accurately when they say they will… in my experience anyway.

2025-07-17-THU-01:42-CST – GOOGLE KEEP – I absolutely love Google Keep. For at least a few years now, as far back as 2016 I think, it has been my main note taking app. With it I am able to quickly write down notes, my thoughts, save links to websites or social media content, and access all of the information later on any of my computers and Android devices. I recommend it everyone.

2025-07-17-THU-01:19-CST – BECAUSE I’M A FUCKING HOARDER – I need to stop buying so much stuff lately. Not because I can’t afford the stuff… but because I can’t keep up with it all lol. I’ve started at least 2 new hobbies (Lego mosaics and stringing beaded necklaces – both as random art projects) in the past couple of months that I didn’t need to start, and I am considering another one (weaving). I literally have a weaving loom on my Ebay watch list. The seller has given me an 11 percent discount on it. I haven’t bought it yet, but I’m considering it. When the fuck would I have time for weaving? When am I ever going to pull out the sewing machine I bought in 2023 that I was going to start learning how to sew with? I bought another Rainbow Loom yesterday so I can put some rubber band bracelets or endless rubber band ropes together with. I don’t have time to do that either lol. What the fuck is wrong with me LOL?

2025-07-17-THU-01:07-CST – MJB – I keep seeing recent videos of Mary J. Blige in concert looking bored af on stage. If “over it” was a person, it would be her.

Word!:

I am a quotes and sayings hoarder. Here are some I’ve collected from around the internet recently.

2025-07-17-THU-02:33-CST – WORD! – Your life doesn’t get better by chance. It get’s better by change.

2025-07-17-THU-02:17-CST – WORD! – Stop Thinking about it. Stop worrying about it. Start doing something about it.

2025-07-17-THU-02:06-CST – WORD! – I have a limited amount of time left on this planet, and I’m not going to spend it being a watered down version of myself so people can like me.

2025-07-17-THU-02:05-CST – WORD! – My toxic trait is I expect people to have common sense and I get mad when they don’t.

2025-07-13-SUN-16:40-CST – WORD! – Know your worth. Then add tax!

2025-07-13-SUN-16:39-CST – WORD! – I hate when people say take it one day at a time. What else would I do? Skip Tuesday?

2025-07-13-SUN-16:37-CST – WORD! – Don’t make excuses for horrible people. You can’t put a flower in an asshole and call it a vase.

2025-07-13-SUN-16:36-CST – WORD! – No one is owed your energy, especially when they have shown they don’t give a shit.

2025-07-13-SUN-16:27-CST – WORD! – Saying someone did their best when they had other choices, is nothing more than emotional shade to make someone else feel better about the end results, rather than leading them to accept their responsibility.

2025-07-13-SUN-15:36-CST – WORD! – Don’t forget to be thankful for what you have now as you’re creating what you want next. This goes along with another saying I’ve heard: It’s better sometimes to want what you have, rather than want more.

Closing Thoughts:

I am putting a lot of work into building a directory. It turns out that following Facebook pages can actually be productive for that. I’m glad I decided to start collecting quotes and sayings, and sharing those on the blog, along with voicing my opinions in the Random Thoughts section. I know opinions can be offending to some people, but you can’t please everyone, and I’m not trying to.

Thanks for using D98.co!

Below is a look at some other content that may interest you (under construction at the moment).

Lemmy:

Lemmy is an open-source, self-hostable link aggregation and discussion platform, similar to Reddit or Hacker News, but operating on a decentralized network called the Fediverse. Users can subscribe to “communities” (similar to subreddits) on different servers, or “instances,” and interact with users and communities across the entire network using the ActivityPub protocol. This decentralized model offers alternatives to centralized social media by promoting user control, data ownership, and community autonomy.

I recently discovered Lemmy, and although I haven’t signed up for an account there yet, I have been checking in on some of the discussions that seemed interesting enough to follow, or that may offer some useful resources. Below is a list of some of the topics I check in on from time to time.

Currently In Progress:

As of: 2025-12-18-THU-10:31-CST – I realize that I’ve been neglecting D98 for quite some time. It wasn’t intentional. I’ve just gotten very heavily involved in building surfman.co, my other website. That website will carry a new PDF version of my directory listings, some of which are listed here, and could also offer some free ebooks. My intentions are to combine this website with the new website in ways where more online content will be featured here, and over there, you can download a pdf for tablet use. So I haven’t forgotten about this website. I just have multiple projects going on, and I’m trying to focus on that one for awhile. I have decided over the last couple of months that I need to consolidate the number of websites I’m maintaining down to 2 or 3. I’m also in a position where I need to seriously declutter my home, and I don’t do well at decluttering lol. So I’ve got a lot of work going on, but no updates to show until I finish building that website and get the pdf directory online for distribution. I hope everyone has a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026!

Disclaimers:

Some things to note about the content I post on this website. Also these disclaimers will eventually be moved to a more appropriate page at some point in the future.

Horoscopes Disclaimer:

I enjoy checking the horoscopes and posting my comments about them. I don’t really take the horoscopes too serious. Mostly I read them out of curiosity to see if anything corresponds to events happening in my life. I am also not “religious”, nor “atheist”. I value that I have the ability to listen to spiritual-based teachings without getting caught up in the “thou better do this shit or else because god said so” way of thinking. I also value that I can learn, and dare I say, at times be guided in life some way, or inspired by the horoscopes to frame my choices and thought patterns a certain way. In the end, it all comes down to karma for me, and I choose to be guided by me, and me alone… not someone else’s idea of who or what I’m supposed to be, or how I’m supposed to act, based on their beliefs.

Information Disclaimer:

All information provided on this website is provided as is. Every effort for accuracy is a top priority, however this depends on the sources where information is curated from. D98.co is not responsible for any unintended inaccuracies.

Product Links:

I share a lot of product links on this website, primarily from Amazon. It should be noted that I am not affiliated with Amazon, nor any other retail outlet, and I do not receive any compensation for sharing product links. I simply enjoy sharing product links for things I have either bought and enjoyed myself, or would consider buying, or simply sharing for the spirit of sharing products that someone else may find useful.

Lemmy:

I’ve been checking out Lemmy.ml frequently lately. It’s my understanding that it is a federated version of Reddit. I’ve seen some interesting and informative topics posted there that people are discussing. I am now listing them for resource value.

NOTE: This section of the site is starting to look like it could use it’s own dedicated page, or perhaps even it’s own directory on the blog. I haven’t decided which direction to go for this, but I am looking at moving this content to a more appropriate place at some point in the future since I keep coming back to it.

ANOTHER NOTE: There is another site similar to Lemmy called PieFed I’m gonna have to check out. I should actually I will have to check it out in more depth to see if it’s worth adding to my content curation workflow… and I think it would be. I’ve glanced over it and found this post about a website that generates a bookshelf image based off of your Goodreads account. It never hurts to have multiple sources to curate content from. Also I’m considering to set up a new Reddit account as well.
