2025-07-23-WED-18:34-CST – DISCOVERY – BOOK – 1001 ALBUMS YOU MUST HEAR BEFORE YOU DIE – I saw this book mentioned in a post on Facebook. It looks interesting, but also I feel like it is probably a collection of the author’s personal music taste. The title of the book is 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die by Robert Dimery and Michael Lydon. Find it here on Amazon.

2025-07-21-MON-19:16-CST – DISCOVERY – AMAZON BEST SELLING DIGITAL MUSIC ALBUMS – I’m sure that I’m late to the game on this, but recently I started checking out the Amazon Best Sellers. I’ve never really paid much attention to that section of their online store. Anyway, the Amazon Best Sellers In Digital Music Albums has caught my attention. You can find listings for the Top 100 selling albums, as well as Top 100 Free albums. In the free section I noticed a lot of nature and ambient sounds albums that could be great for long hot baths, or just meditating in private.
2025-07-20-SUN-23:51-CST – SHOP AMAZON FOR WIRED HEADPHONES – If you are in the market for new wired headphones, then check out my new Shop Amazon For Wired Headphones post on the blog. It’s an extensive list of products of various styles, and this marks the first of hopefully many shopping lists of this type that I will do because I love shopping, and I love sharing good products.
2025-07-20-SUN-20:00-CST – DISCOVERY – STEREO COMPONENTS – I’m in the market for expanding my home audio options. I recently purchased an old Magnavox D8300 (yellow) off of Ebay. I bought it for nostalgic reasons as I used to own one in the early 90s. Earlier today I bought a new LG XBOOM CM4590 CD Player / Bluetooth / USB stereo system that I’ve been eyeballing in stores and online for at least a couple of years or longer. In 2024 I bought a nice Philips CD player boombox, and some time before that I bought a dinky Onn brand CD player radio. Also in 2024 I bought a Victrola brand 6-in-1 Bluetooth record player. I ended up giving that piece of equipment away due to moving and needing to lighten the amount of belongings I have. I am now looking at another record player stereo system, and another cd player boombox, both Jensen brand products to purchase sometime this year. I’ve also bought an mp3 player within the last year, and acquired another one after that. So yeah… I’m definitely into buying music playing equipment lately. With all of that said, tonight I was wondering if it is possibly to still buy old school style stereo components and speakers to build a large system like we used to have back in the day (back in the day being the late 80s and throughout the 90s). I sure do miss my Pioneer stereo with the big Pioneer speakers and added Bose 301 speakers. So a quick look on Google reveals that it is possible to basically buy any component and speakers you would need to build a dream stereo system, almost on any budget. I will get back to this topic another time after I’ve done some searching around to see what all is out there, and maybe I’ll come back with some links. If you are on a low budget, and don’t have a few thousand dollars to build a giant dream stereo, you can check out some more modern stereo systems. Check out this mini hifi system search on Google for some great deals ranging from $150 – $600 on some nice all-in-one shelf stereo systems.
2025-07-20-SUN-18:46-CST – WORD! – Keep taking time for yourself until you are you again.
2025-07-19-SAT-16:32-CST – OTM CONTENT REMOVED – NOW ANYWAY – BUT MAY NOT EVEN COME BACK – I’m having second thoughts about posting the Photo Of The Month, and other OTM content. So I have for now removed those from this site. The reason for this is due to that I forgot I was planning to start a new art and photography zine, and that is going to take up a lot of my time. I don’t think I would have time to post OTM content. So it is all removed until I get my mind set straight on posting it or not, and I don’t want it displayed on site while I’m deciding on this, because if it is seen too much, it could drive demand for viewing that I’m not ready to keep up with.
2025-07-19-SAT-09:00-CST – THE SURFIN’ARY BY TREVOR CRALLE – There is a book that I’ve been fascinated with for a long time, since probably around at least 2012. It is called the The Surfin’ary, and it was written by Trevor Cralle. It was published in 1991, and it is a mildly hefty dictionary style book that defines the language of surfers. It is a cool book to flip through and read the definitions of the words and phrases, and it is filled with many photos and illustrations. I’m working on pulling some excerpts out of the book to share here on my blog. Look for some to be posted soon. In the meantime, I recommend you to search for the book on Google and get yourself a copy if you can find one available. I think the book is starting to get a little scarce these days, but I have purchased it twice over the years (because I got rid of my first copy and then recently became interested in it again and bought another copy) so you may get lucky to find one somewhere.
2025-07-19-SAT-07:22-CST – OTM CONTENT TO BE MOVED TO A DEDICATED PAGE – I’ve been working on adding some OTM content (Of The Month) to this website that includes a Photo Of The Month, Earthcam Of The Month, and a Lego Of The Month. These have been placed in the site footer section. I have decided that I’m going to move that content to a dedicated page. It just makes more sense to have these items on a page, rather than be a part of the website that loads up every time someone clicks a link to navigate this site. So look for that change to come soon. Maybe tonight, or possibly tomorrow.
2025-07-18-FRI-02:32-CST – OTM CONTENT POSTED AND MORE ON THE WAY – I’ve been working on adding some OTM content (Of The Month) to this website. I have added a Photo Of The Month, Earthcam Of The Month, and a Lego Of The Month. All of these include photos. I will be adding some Art Of The Month photos soon.
2025-07-17-THU-11:46-CST – OTM CONTENT COMING – I have done it to myself again today. I stayed up too late, but I got some awesome photos taken at an abandoned site I explored this morning. I will be posting a photo of the month with one of the photos this evening.
2025-07-17-THU-02:33-CST – WORD! – Your life doesn’t get better by chance. It get’s better by change.
2025-07-17-THU-02:17-CST – WORD! – Stop Thinking about it. Stop worrying about it. Start doing something about it.
2025-07-17-THU-02:06-CST – WORD! – I have a limited amount of time left on this planet, and I’m not going to spend it being a watered down version of myself so people can like me.
2025-07-17-THU-02:05-CST – WORD! – My toxic trait is I expect people to have common sense and I get mad when they don’t.
2025-07-16-WED-23:56-CST – MY VIRGO HOROSCOPE FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW – Horoscope for Wed, Jul 16, 2025 – Your emotions may be reserved, Virgo. Take a break from the spunk and fire and simply lay low. This is a good time to sit back and receive. Don’t make any sudden moves. Just let the energy of the day take you where it will. The closer you can get to your inner nature and feminine energy, the closer you will become to a romantic partner or family member. COMMENTS: Feminine? LOL not. Whoever wrote the horoscope for today obviously doesn’t realize that men read the horoscopes also. I’m definitely reserved lately, and not really trying to get close to anyone, including any family members. Real note, I don’t hate anyone, but my family has done some ignorant shit to me because they couldn’t handle truth, and my life was effected in some very negative ways. I’m just trying to enjoy some peace and quiet, and be productive. – – – Horoscope for Thu, Jul 17, 2025 – Moving ahead is the key for today, Virgo. You should feel very optimistic and excited about your goals. You’re probably confident that you will reach them and all will go well. This positive attitude spills over into your personal relationships. You should be in just the right frame of mind to encourage your friends to go for their own dreams and give them whatever assistance they need. COMMENTS: Gotta move ahead no matter what.

2025-07-16-WED-20:46-CST – MOTIVATED TONIGHT BUT NOT REALLY LOL – It is only because I like to be real about my work here at D98 WEB that I’m writing this. I logged on at my work station tonight feeling super motivated to get some work done, but once I got my laptop and side monitor set up and went online, I started feeling like “whatever” LOL. Obviously my body and my brain are having a conflict this week, starting with last night, over what may or may not get done. I am one of those people (thankfully) that believes in listening to your body. I learned that a long time ago. Your body is going to tell you what you need, and what you need to do, or not do, and you have to pay attention. I have not been resting well lately. Not really so much due to stress, but simply because I’ve got a lot going on. Some of it is self-inflicted starting new hobbies stuff (that I really didn’t need to start lol – whatever), and other things are simply managing life without hitting speed bumps. I don’t like speed bumps in life that slow me down. So I think I’m really just going through a period where my brain is focused to stay on track with the things that actually matter, while wanting to also “play” in other areas. This website is one of my playgrounds so to speak. So I think that is what is causing some hiccups in my motivation currently with doing what I do here, and also leaving space for my brain to stay focused on other things… and that is ok. So whatever happens tonight is all good. If I get something productive done, great. If I don’t, I won’t stress it. Either way it goes, I did get this update written, and that in itself is a productive thing if I don’t do anything else. So win win either way. Boom tish!
2025-07-15-TUE-21:04-CST – TO DRAG THE LAPTOP OUT OR NOT – I’m having one of those nights… much work to do, but I’m not in the mood to boot up my laptop, much less drag it out of my bag. That means I’m probably not going to work much tonight, and anything that I do get done will just be done on my phone, and saved in the cloud somewhere until tomorrow. It’s not like all this stuff won’t be here later, and it’s been awhile since I took a break.
2025-07-15-TUE-00:06-CST – PAYPAL PAY IN 4 – Just saying… I love it when I get the email from PayPal saying one of my Pay In 4 agreements is paid off. It means I can go shop for something else maybe.
2025-07-14-MON-22:51-CST – FACEBOOK NEEDS TO INCREASE IT’S FOLLOWING LIMIT – Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like the 5,000 pages & people limit for following on Facebook is too limiting. It’s never really bothered me before, but now that I’m getting more serious about following pages on Facebook, for the purpose of trying to build a directory, I’m feeling like one day I’m going to hit that limit even though 5,000 is a lot. Then I will have to unfollow and block pages in order to avoid listing the same ones again, just to be able to continue building my listings. I sent Facebook a message on X about it. I doubt that I’ll get a response, but at least I tried. If you feel this limitation is ridiculous as well, I urge you to contact Facebook as well. Maybe if enough people request an increase in how many pages we can follow on Facebook, they might increase it.
2025-07-14-MON-22:37-CST – MY VIRGO HOROSCOPE FOR TOMORROW – My horoscope for tomorrow: Tue, Jul 15, 2025 – You might feel a bit tense, Virgo, and you probably won’t understand why. The reason? The planets. You might jump at unexpected noises or take offense where none is intended. Relations with others might be a little strained, necessitating some communication about how you’re feeling. Try to work off the tension by taking a brisk walk or perhaps working out at the gym. – – – I take that as a warning to avoid people, except those that deserve my attention. Because fuck people. We gotta be real with ourselves, or people will try us. Choose inner peace over people’s bullshit. Check Horoscope.com for your horoscope.

2025-07-14-MON-20:41-CST – ANNA’S ARCHIVE SEARCH UPDATED – Anna’s Archive search index has been updated.
2025-07-13-SUN-20:21-CST – SEARCH ANNA’S ARCHIVE – Anna’s Archive is a shadow library offering access to download thousands of books in PDF and epub format. I have created the Anna’s Archive Search page, which offers dozens of links to select book searches. Use it to find books on your favorite topics to download.
2025-07-13-SUN-16:40-CST – WORD! – Know your worth. Then add tax!
2025-07-13-SUN-16:39-CST – WORD! – I hate when people say take it one day at a time. What else would I do? Skip Tuesday?
2025-07-13-SUN-16:37-CST – WORD! – Don’t make excuses for horrible people. You can’t put a flower in an asshole and call it a vase.
2025-07-13-SUN-16:36-CST – WORD! – No one is owed your energy, especially when they have shown they don’t give a shit.
2025-07-13-SUN-16:27-CST – WORD! – Saying someone did their best when they had other choices, is nothing more than emotional shade to make someone else feel better about the end results, rather than leading them to accept their responsibility.
2025-07-13-SUN-15:36-CST – WORD! – Don’t forget to be thankful for what you have now as you’re creating what you want next. This goes along with another saying I’ve heard: It’s better sometimes to want what you have, rather than want more.

2025-07-13-SUN-08:09-CST – GOOD SUNDAY MORNING! – I am enjoying this morning pretty well for some reason. That’s actually nice to say because it’s been awhile since I enjoyed any day, just to say I’m enjoying it. This morning I am following pages on Facebook. I’ve been doing that a lot lately, and I’ve been listing what I follow in Google Keep. Eventually I’m going to take all of the listings and create a business list of pages and groups on Facebook. I’m following just about anything and everything that comes up that looks useful or interesting. There is so much interesting stuff out there to discover if you give the ads a chance. Tonight in my updates I plan to start listing things after I follow them. These will not be official listings, but will allow me to start sharing as I go. Maybe once a day I’ll share a group of links to the pages I followed most recently.
2025-07-12-SAT-22:06-CST – FIRST BLOG POST – I have posted my first blog post on the blog, titled Hello World!. Yes it is the obligatory first post that usually goes up on a personal WordPress blog. The post is a brief introduction of what this website is about. I will add more information to it as this website develops and grows.
Thanks for using D98.co!
Below is a look at some other content that may interest you (under construction at the moment).
Lemmy:
Lemmy is an open-source, self-hostable link aggregation and discussion platform, similar to Reddit or Hacker News, but operating on a decentralized network called the Fediverse. Users can subscribe to “communities” (similar to subreddits) on different servers, or “instances,” and interact with users and communities across the entire network using the ActivityPub protocol. This decentralized model offers alternatives to centralized social media by promoting user control, data ownership, and community autonomy.
I recently discovered Lemmy, and although I haven’t signed up for an account there yet, I have been checking in on some of the discussions that seemed interesting enough to follow, or that may offer some useful resources. Below is a list of some of the topics I check in on from time to time.
